Petco Foundation: Sheltering and Adoption Organizations

The Petco Foundation provides grants to animal welfare organizations performing sheltering and adoptions nationwide. U.S.-based nonprofit animal shelters and foster-based rescue organizations, as well as municipal animal shelters are eligible to apply. For the 2018 funding cycle, applications will be accepted from August 1 through September 28.  Support for Youth Baseball and Softball Programs
Baseball Tomorrow Fund

The Baseball Tomorrow Fund (BTF), a joint initiative between Major League Baseball and the Major League Baseball Players Association, is dedicated to promoting the growth of youth baseball and softball in the United States and throughout the world by funding programs that encourage youth participation in the game. Grants may be used to finance a new program, expand or improve an existing program, undertake a new collaborative effort, or obtain facilities or equipment necessary for youth baseball or softball programs. Grants average around $40,000. Nonprofit organizations, municipalities, and school districts involved in youth baseball or softball are eligible to apply. Grant applications are due January 1, April 1, July 1, and October 1, annually. Visit the BTF website to learn more about the grant criteria and application process.

Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration 

The Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Grant Program provides support to improve outcomes for children by developing, maintaining, or enhancing mental health promotion, intervention, and treatment services. The application deadline is June 29, 2018.


Funds Available to Improve Nutrition for the Aging
Department of Health and Human Services

The Innovations in Nutrition Programs and Services opportunity provides support to enhance the quality and effectiveness of nutrition services programs or outcomes within the aging network. The application deadline is July 17, 2018.
