Together SC is pleased to announce a new learning opportunity designed especially for leaders of rural nonprofits!
We can all do a better job of identifying and solving the challenges associated with managing and governing rural nonprofits, faith-based, and community-based organizations. Too often, capacity building strategies and approaches are developed with a template that doesn’t seem to fit the needs, concerns, interests, and opportunities that are unique to working in rural settings.
The Rural Leaders Summit will address those needs, concerns, interests, and opportunities. The materials have been developed and refined through a rural lens. The facilitated conversation will be participant-driven to ensure it meets the needs of those in attendance. This session will give participants an opportunity to share, learn, and grow with their peers in a strengths-based, solution-oriented space.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?: Executive Directors, Staff, Board Members, and Volunteers (18+) of small, volunteer-led, and rural-located nonprofit organizations are encouraged to attend this program together.
WHAT IS IT?: A training program designed to address the needs specific to nonprofit organizations located in rural towns and/or that serve a rural population. These nonprofits should have an annual operating budget of less than $100,000 and no more than two full-time employees*.
